We tell you all the essential details of what your favourite bands are up to in 2009 in the Hot 100. Today’s edition lets you know what you can expect from Southern riff-lords, Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster.

What are you most looking forward to in 2009?
Dallas Taylor: “Writing, recording, and releasing  a new record.  I think that will also open a lot of doors for us towards the end of 2009 having a new record out.”

II is quite a progression from Maylene, what can we expect the new album?
Taylor: “I think we are going to take elements from our first record, and II while at the same time really just making our sound a more mature sound.  We are very excited this record for me is going to be everything I have ever wanted to do in a record.  I think this record is really going to give us a new respect in the music industry.”

Is there anything you still want to achieve that you didn’t on the last record?
Taylor: “I think I just want to have a more versatile record that can appeal to many ages, and many types of people.”

You’ve had some strange billings (ADTR) who would you ideally tour with next year?
Taylor: “I am not really sure.  I love doing tours that are out of our element, but trying to win over other bands fans.  I think that is what makes a band versatile.  We try really hard to never put our selves in one genre.  I think we would ideally love to tour with bands this next year that are going to help us gain new fans.”

You’ve had some personnel shifts, are you now solid?

Taylor: “For sure we are better than ever, and we all have a bond like never before.”
