Ditto, didn't like this season nearly as much as the first one. Mostly a preference for the one and done characters that were encapsulated in a single episode, but more or the fact they felt like characters plucked from Leonard's own books. Season 2's were more generically rednecky. At least they were consistent with the head of the bad guy family being the shittiest part of the show.
Also not catching why Boyd Crowder went from miner worker to Black Pike land deal player was a big puzzler for me.
Agree with Game OF Thrones, disagree with Treme - bollocks to that show.
-Stomps the hell out of the tedious GCSE quality book. "Jimmy loved Maggie, Really loved her. And Maggie loved her man Jimmy, really loved him, truly." The fact the TV series doesn't reiterate obvious plot points at twice let alone 7 times a piece puts it way out in front. Better than anything the BBC or ITV have put out in the past few years, apart from Luther. Great cast. Wonder why they changed the rasta stereotype Glenford Prentiss into seldom heard average black guy Des?
- This on the other hand I only gave about 2 episodes, the lead male lacks charisma! being my main moan. The prossie mum looked like the thickest cunt on the face of this Earth when she took the knife from the detective. At first I was hoping she KNEW what was up and was protecting her daughter, but no, she really was written to be that fucking moronic.
On a positive (?) note, the 'deflowering' scene was incredibly perfect; creepy and uncomfortable. Unlike all those slapstick rape scenes I've seen...
