Aside from this, the Bat books seem to be relatively unaffected and thankfully keeping a loose connection to current stories (like Batman Inc, hurrah!) and Damian as Robin as well. I'll give Action Comics a shot as I've always enjoyed Morrison's take on Superman. The book that intrigues me the most is Wonder Woman as Brain Azzarello and Clifford Chang are doing it, and I've never bought a WW comic in my entire life!
That's a big reason why I like Batman books far more than most DC stuf as his mythos is the most detached from the rest of the DC universe.
I don't think the big re-launch is worth worrying about. If people don't like it then they'll just retcon everything in about two years with some convoluted, silver-age-bumming crossover.
I'd say the only "suicide" DC have commited recently was in producing the emerald-encrusted turd that was 'Green Lantern'. Letting David E. Kelley attempt a new 'Wonder Woman' TV series probably wasn't a good idea either.
