More than likely, but Rob is so far up the chain he can wash his hands of it. And Johno clearly wasn't up to the job, end of. His loyalty to certain players (Wilkinson, Tindell, Borthwick) shows a massive lack of nous and focus, and curiously for his reputation, lack of the hard hard for decisions. Lawes should have been in the set up earlier, and for the love of fuck, find another 8 who is not Easter. Get Sergio Parise an English passport, just find someone who can actually make those carries and doesn't get blasted back in the tackle.
Speaking of Tindell...he got a massive fine, and his international career is over. Good, these people are represeting their country, and not on some twattish 18-30 holiday. He was no longer good enough anyway, and as a player entrusted with leadership (he was a captain), I don't see him as a scapegoat at all, just another prat who took his position for granted. Complete deadweight as far as I can see.
He should have known he could be punished like this, but he still chose to put him, and thus the England team, in a compromising position.
Look at the Welsh players by contrast, where their dedication and passion very nearly got them to the final. I have no doubt they would have murdered us had we beaten France, and rightly so.
You can't fight in here, this is the War Room!
