I guess so. It's all just a little too tangled for me. Like I say, I want Batman ass kicking and detecting, like in the Paul Dini (Detective/Death and The City) runs. While I appreciate that Morrison wants to helm the definitive Batman epic it spread too thin and wide for the more casual DC Universe fan like myself. I just don't have the inclination to follow it through multiple books bacause once you start dipping into stuff like Final Crisis that knocks it up to a whole other level of assumed knowledge, so you have to spin off into the what/why/when and how of multiple other characters, I know very little of Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Justice League and associated badguys and continuity so it makes it much more of a struggle to plough through without at the very least having wikipedia constantly at hand to discover exactly who that fella who appears in those 3 panels is and what his beef is. Kinda stops being fun then and turns into a homework project.
That's the problem with all these "event" books though, half the time it seems like they're just done to sell other, related, comics and just expext soooooo much assumed knowledge.
