Hey, trying to catch up on UFC events coz my internet decided to die on its arse the day after UFC 146. Great timing.
P. sure I called Varner beating Barboza, but not like that. Fuck yes. 'future title contender' Barboza's best win is Ross Pearson. Arf.
Hopefully Jason 'quirky nickname' Miller sticks to his word and fucks off forever. Seeing him struggle miserably and lose the fight despite almost sealing the deal twice was fantastic. CB Dollaway's chin is the stuff of comedy, apart from Munoz he hasn't faced that many hard hitters.
Shitty to see Roy Nelson beat Herman in one punch, but Dave had his left hand way down and Nelson throws 70% right hands so he was asking for it.
Mir's chin is toast, it seemed like a sparring session for JDS compared to his early UFC obliterations.
Erick SIlva looks legit, he scrambled through all of Brenneman's TDs and his ankle lock appeared to be legitimately close considering Brenneman was just content to pin Silva against the cage instead of trying for TDs. So, better than Barboza at least.
UFC on FX 4:
Seeing Pearson get dropped like a bag of spuds was ace, seems like Swanson is finally building up some steam but it's against other strikers, hopefully he gets matched with a wrestler to see if he's fools gold.
I found Maynard Guida to be extremely funny. Seemed like Guida's whole plan was to run about and wins rounds purely of a handful of strikes and avoiding all of Maynard's. Maynard unleashing his inner Diaz was excellent.
I've got UFC 147 halfway done, with about 2 days to go.
The trailer for Franklin/SIlva was great, you wouldn't think it was just some slapdash shit they threw together at the last minute.
Anything good worth watching on the TUF FInale? Brookins/Oliverira has potential to go both ways. I wasn't even aware Ellenberger/Kampmann was happening.
Anything on the FX4 or UFC 147 prelims?
Were Struve/Johnson, Del Rosario/Miocic any good?
