I'm looking for a decent book on the Ancient Mayans, and I think it will be the same with that. I've picked up Rubicon by Tom Holland, because I've been told that is a narrative history book that doesn't get dull. I hope not.
Not really read anything on the Mayans apart from a few books about their calender.
Last Days of the Incas by Kim Macquarrie, is one of the best history books I've read though.
There are also a couple of books about Spartacus that I'd quite like to read, one about him as a Gladiator and another about the rebellion that he led, been looking into reading more about ancient Rome recently.
