My issue with Jones turning down the fight is that he was training for a fight on that date, so it wasn't like he wasn't in shape. Secondly he'd be fighting a guy who is usually fighting at 185, and is largely unprepared. Sure, there is a risk for Jones that might lose his belt, however the odds were in his favour and he hasn't been troubled by the LHW roster so far.
The moneys issue for fighters, fans and the UFC regarding 151 could have been avoided. It just seems daft to me. He is the first reigning champion to turn down a fight.
