I saw Korpiklaani, Andraste (who were unremarkable, and while not bad, absolutely forgettable and lacking in any x-factor) and Metsatoll (who were actually brilliant for over half their set, and would be an amazing band if they abandoned the folk bits).
Korpiklaani passed me by pretty much, apart from when they covered Motorhead’s ‘Iron Fist’ and when they had a powercut. They were fine, just absolutely not to my own personal tastes.
I actually paid £30 for two tickets, so my flatmate could come (he only likes things like A7X and Papa Roach and hadn't heard of any of them that night) just so I'd have someone to walk home with in the dark.
I only went at all to meet an ex-bandmember I knew from a few years ago in stafford. We met, said three sentences, and never saw eachother again. Money well spent. The best part of the night was when I went home and made chicken. The chicken was awesome. I gave half of it to my flatmate though, should've kept it for breakfast.
