8 Reasons To Look Forward To The New Kiss Album

terrybezer / Features (Spanish Inquisition), News / 18/08/2009 12:07pm

kiss_90Kiss will release their new album ‘Sonic Boom’ on October 5th. We bring you 8 reasons that this should make your blood pump hard.

1. This album report from Classic Rock. Aye carumba!

2. It’s going to be an out-and-out rocker. No strings, no ballads, no songs that are just titled after girls names. That said, we’re pretty partial to ‘Forever’ around these parts. *ahem*

3. It’s produced by Paul Stanley and that means that shit’s going to sparkle. Interesting fact: Paul Stanley says the word “woah!” better than anybody on the face of the Earth. He’s even better at it than Jon Bon Jovi. Click here. See what we mean?

4. New album means that there’s a possibility of a new tour. This also means we all get to celebrate the intro to ‘Lick It Up’ like England have just won the World Cup like we did at Download 2008.

5. ‘Russian Roulette’ is a killer song title. We’ve not heard it yet but we’re going to bet there’s a rhyme with “placing your bet” in there somewhere.

6. The cover looks a bit like ‘Rock and Roll Over’, the album that contains ‘Calling Doctor Love’, ‘Hard Luck Woman’ and ‘I Want You’.

7. The band say it’s the best thing that they’ve done in 30 years. This means it’s going to be better than ‘Psycho Circus’ and ‘Carnival Of Souls’ (though we think ‘Revenge’ is criminally underrated. Click here to get where we’re coming from.)

8. Kiss are back. You actually need a reason to be excited by that?! What’s wrong with you?!

Jen Zatoth

these guys just won’t go away, will they?

Roberto

Well I’m looking forward to hearing it…

Excellent!!

No, KISS WONT ‘go away’. why should they? Download 2008, and their recent tour of South America proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that they still ROCK.

If You dont like it, go watch a band that doesnt/cant, while we that DO, enjoy ourselves….

Now, if You want a taste of what KISS is about but cant wait for them to tour, come and have a look at DRESSED TO KILL – the world’s longest-running tribute to KISS.

Is Kiss metal? no, its hard pink rock with stupid meaningless ordinary lyrics, lots of makeup and explosions, neverending album reissues, poor musicianship and very bad taste. Another Album? Of course! They are in this for the money and they will be forever.

DRUMACHINE

Listen ! As Gene Simmons says. They are the BEST band in the world. If you want to go see these crappy bands that play in jeans, t-shirs and running shoes, just by the CD and listen to it till you blow your brains out. A concert should be a show. Not just watching a bunch of musicians just replaying a CD live. You KISS haters a just a bunch of losers that are taking up space on earth. So F%$K OFF !!!!!!!!

Ten years ago, I’d have been all over this. Now? I won’t buy the record, won’t see them live…this may do well – and I wish the band well. I just don’t think there’s a market for KISS as a recording act anymore. They’ve lost their legitimacy as a band. This won’t even come close to what AC/DC did under the same arrangement (and the AC/DC album is VASTLY superior).
