1. Northern Kings – We Don’t Need Another Hero (Originally by Tina Turner)
If you’re going to do a Tina Turner cover, do something like ‘Nutbush City Limits’. Don’t make it this turgid shite.
2. Cradle Of Filth – Devil Woman (Originally by Cliff Richard)
Cliff? Really? The Young Ones only just about got away with it. Cradle Of Filth don’t.

4. Avril Lavigne – Chop Suey! (Originally by System of a Down)
What on earth possessed the weird-nosed pop gonad to tackle a SOAD classic. She did some Dead Kennedy’s after this. (Note: we’ve just made that last bit of that up).
5. Snoop Dogg – Sad But True (Originally by Metallica)

Quite liked the Cradle cover, Avril sucks as usual, Snoop should be shot and the Metallica one seems to be a pisstake. As for that Japanese thing, that version of the Trooper’s the funniest thing I’ve heard in a long time so I guess it’s awesome! Steve Harris HAS to hear it!!

had me in stitches for a long time. Oh and the sign cover of Run To The Hills is just disgraceful. The original is upbeat, powerful and y’know, it’s Maiden, nigh on impossible to cover. Brucie’s amazing vocals are just highlighted by this moany, wailing performance. Shame on you Sign.

Here’s another Dillenger Escape Plan did “My Michell” by Guns N Roses. It’s laughable. I also think Six Feet Under have to be up there in some way when they do AC/DC or Smoke in The Water. It’s bad but at least its entertaining.
