AC/DC For Download?
AC/DC put Download date on their official website before taking it down shortly afterwards.
Remember when we told you at the end of October that AC/DC would be playing European dates in June? Well, just in case you don’t, here it is.
Anyway, tonight the 2010 festival battle hit it’s hottest point yet. Hot on the heels of Sonisphere announcing that The Big Four will be playing European dates, AC/DC posted and then swiftly removed that the Australian hard rock titans will be hitting Donington on Friday, June 11th. Don’t believe us? Check the screen grab at the bottom of the page.
Download festival promoter Andy Copping wouldn’t give us an official confirmation that the 30th anniversary of the first Donington Monsters Of Rock could coincide with the 30th anniversary of ‘Back In Black’. Instead, he wrote the following on his official Twitter: “Not sure what to say about the AC/DC slip up tonight, it appears to have been taken off their site now. I think they may just want to play.”
What do we believe? Is this booked or is this pure speculation? One thing’s for certain, that 80,000 capacity would certainly have to be increased to fit in a shitload of whiskey-fuelled Acca Dacca loving hell-raisers.
