Aerosmith Announce O2 London Date
Aerosmith will be playing the O2 as well as their headline stint at Donington!
Aerosmith have announced that they will be headlining the o2 Arena in London on June 15th, just 2 days after their headline performance at this year’s Download festival! Tickets will go on sale on March 5th.
The announcement comes as part of their 11-date European ‘Cocked, Loaded, Ready To Rock Tour’. Aerosmith had the following to say about the tour:
Steven Tyler (vocals): “Back by popular demand with more spit and fire than ever before, we’re coming across the pond and parting the waters as we go.”
Joe Perry (guitar): “Aerosmith is going to be rocking in the UK and Europe this summer. Enough BS, we’re coming and everything is going to be set at 11.”
Joey Kramer (drums): “Aerosmith is back! Bigger, better and stronger than ever! So look out Europe ‘cos we’re comin’ to getcha.”
Brad Whitford (guitar): “I’m not sure who is happier, the band or the fans. Can’t wait to get started. Will see you this summer.”

So Rage are playing a free gig just before Download, Aerosmith just after? I’m still looking forward to Download, but this surely takes the shine off this years headliners? All we need is AC/DC to announce a stadium tour and there’s no big exclusives at Download this year.

correct Ollie, Download will surely be where they bring the thunder and 02 where the non-rocking fans will go. Having said that, I hope they play Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing and Crying at Download (it’ll be last thing on a Sunday, grown men will want a good cry and a sing-song!)
meh and this will cost how much? the exclusive thing wont matter when people see the price and just goto download. Dont particularly care ive got wacken and Bloodstock, dont much care for download I just have a slight interest in aerosmiths goings on.

Thought they we’re auditioning for another singing cos Tyler was out of it in rehab…maybe gedmundo’s right just a publicity stunt. Still not moaning at the opportunity to see them live this summer.

This makes me not care about Download anymore! Seen AC/DC, free RATM gig and now Aerosmith at the O2 on my fucking birthday! Stoked. Seriously.
Also, who gives a shit what they play? Ballads or just straight rock n’ roll! It’s Aerosmith!!!!! Anything they play will be amazing. Would like to hear Crazy and Livin On The Edge though, doesn’t look like they played it last year.
I’m seriously considering going to this.
Would like to hear a lot of pre- ‘Done With Mirrors’ material.
