“If you liked the last one, you’re going to like this one!” says Joel O’Keefe.
Airbourne are readying their new album, ‘No Guts, No Glory’, and you can get a sneak-peak at what to expect in the new issue of Metal Hammer – on sale now!
“I don’t think there’s any major deviations to the left or the right,” says frontman Joel O’Keefe. “The last album wasn’t live sounding enough for us, so this time we really wanted to capture the feel of the band.”

Unfortunately that means that this album will sound exactly like every ACDC album… I could quite happily watch Airbourne, just as long as it meant I didn’t have to listen to them.
I saw these guys years ago at home (Sydney) and they were parody-funny/tongue-in-cheek (complete with a wall of Marshalls in a club that holds around 100ppl). But they’ve crossed the line and are taking themselves too serious, no?
Akin to Hayseed Dixie, they’d probably be a lot better if they deviated slightly from being a cover band.
Shame they have had to push back the dates of the tour, only a couple of months more I guess.
I can imagine Joel being really up his own arse.
This band aren’t original, but they have got some sweet songs!!
