Get three tracks from Alexisonfire’s current stint on Soundwaves festival.
If you’re on Twitter and you follow all of your favourite bands, the chances are most of them are Tweeting about being in Australia on the Soundwaves festival. We’re happy for them but when you hear about how scorching hot it is and you look outside your window to see that it keeps on bloody snowing, it becomes a bit tiresome, doesn’t it?
Moving swiftly on, something good has come of the Soundwaves festival, in the shape of this three track Alexisonfire stream.
Now, if it could just warm up a bit here, we’ll all be happy.

I haven’t been homesick at all for the last 3 years I’ve been over here, but the Soundwave lineup made me consider going back, just for a short time. What a cracker.
To the point though, loving the Alexisonfire.
I saw them play @ Brisbane Soundwave. It wasn’t boiling hot – about 25 degrees compared to the 42 degrees it was the last soundwave they played in 2008. They were great but I had to leave to see Comeback Kid (who were awesome). A Wilhelm Scream were brilliant but Faith No More completely stole the show.
Holy shit, i was at the sydney soundwave last weekend, me and every person there wouldve killed for 25 degrees! Snow wouldve been welcome too, it was unbelievably hot (don’t know exactly how hot it was but in eastern creek it wouldve had to of been near 40) and there was 3-4 small shade tents and the rest was uncovered and sunny as fuck. The free water dispenser broke in the morning, people were using cardboard boxes to survive the sun and i saw many a person wandering through the sea of people picking up used water bottles and finishing the dregs..
That being said, it was an awesome day, Anthrax went completely off!
Saw them at the Sydney soundwave festival, it was at least 40 degrees, epic set. Wouldve been even better if the shitty Eagles of death metal hadn’t gone overtime and made their set get cut short.
While Alexisonfire were awesome, wasnt quite as good as Trivium
BTW for ppl who dont know, u should check out the lead guitarists Dallas Green’s CD’s, under the name City and Colour. Brilliantly written music and an amazing voice.
