Due to phenomenal popular demand, Alice In Chains have added further dates to their UK tour. As well as the aforementioned dates, Alice In Chains will now also be playing:

Dec 6th – Nottingham Rock City
Dec 7th – Brixton Academy

You can find Alice In Chains gracing the cover of this month’s Metal Hammer, on sale today. Speaking to us, Jerry Cantrell said that the reunion came about completely organically.

“We just wanted to put a gig together,” Cantrell told us. “Sean put it together for that tsunami gig, called up a bunch of friends, and we were like ‘fuck yeah let’s do it.’ That turned into some jamming stuff and the next thing you know we’re on the road somehow. It’s been a natural thing. We didn’t have to do it. There’s really no need, it just felt right. The train has definitely left the station. It’s kind of cool to have something to do all the time, we haven’t done shit for awhile.”

Drummer Sean Kinney adds: “It felt right, it felt ok, we’re all cool with it it felt genuine, and it came from a right place. We’d see where it would lead, take the next step, re-evaluate, take the next step. If we were doing this for someone else, in hindsight, I don’t know if we would have gotten together again. It wasn’t ‘dude let’s get the band together!’ I didn’t know until we were standing there playing on stage how heavy it would be. I’d gotten to a place where I was about as ok as I could be with everything that happened.”
