I don’t watch documentaries, but they must all be bloody good if there are 15 better than The Story of Anvil in one year…

The story of Anvil was the first documentary ive seen in a long time that is worthy of an oscar. i mean a documentary of the dictator Mugabe is more interesting and fun to watch than Anvil? what a load of bollocks. i say Metal Hammer should get a petition going to get Anvil into the Oscars

I do watch quite a lot of documentaries, about 2 thirds music related, but i can honestly say i’ve heard of only 2 on the list!?

Point of thought though, it’s technically a 2008 movie so i don’t think it would make this years shortlist… i think it’s just too old.

But got to say, i loved this documentary so much, but to me… Get Thrashed was equally as good, probably so to me as i grew up when it (Thrash starting) all happened and was into the scene from the debut album days of the Big Four so i could relate to it more.

I know these guys. I’ve seen them many times over the years.I’ve talked to Robb, and Lips.
Today, they are just as strong, and better than anyother metal band going!
They have one of the best all time metal albums(Metal on Metal).
They do it thier way,and like no other.
Who needs something from over the top American show like the Oscars. These guys deserve alot more than a small golden statue. They deserve everyones respect, and admiration. Anvils rocks!!!!!!!!
