beez you dont half print some shit that no one fucking cares about
DEP…contempary punk/emo…hmmm
As much as I like ATDI, I can’t help but cringe that they’re in such esteemed company as MCR, FOB & JEW. Although given the scopy of that list, guess it wasn’t hard for ATDI to win – given they’re the only punk band on there.
And yep Mike, agreed – DEP? WTF?
Only one song by Thursday????
Ah, it’s nice to see METAL Hammer staying true to it’s roots by delivering news abot “contemporary punk/ emo” I mean at least with the deathcore bands they’re a part of the flourishing metal scene, but this is just beyond everyone’s lowest expectations.
For shame.
18. Deftones – “Change (In The House Of Files)” whattttttttt?????????
deftones not emo
where is swing life away. Rise Against fuckin rock especially last saturday
there are a few decent songs in there but to see taking back sunday, fob, mcr, hawthorne heights and dashboard confessional even mentioned by metal hammer is enough to make me want to vomit blood on the nearest emo scum! alternative press are tossers anyway
@simoninflames:in case you hadn’t noticed they put the whole goddamn list on here,it’s not like they were saying “FOB are awesome or anything”,besides DEP are on here

ok a bit of a random list but there are a fair few good songs on the list, why the hell are so many ppl who comment on this site so close minded.seriously if half the ppl are as hardcore as they go on why dont u just read terrorizer.i mean metal hammer has covered alot of the bands in the list, some have been on the cover.
but one thing when did muse become punk or emo
From those, I can’t believe that Thrash Unreal, Shipping Up To Boston and Party Hard weren’t higher. And how any ‘Best of the Decade’ list which allegedly covers punk can exclude Rancid is beyond me. Every one of their singles from this decade is better than the majority of rubbish on that list and they are one of the very few truly punk bands left.
Chris, you speak the gospel truth. Long live Rancid!
What a strangely random assortment of songs.
This is a right list! Agree with most of it. glad to see Glassjaw up there -Twice
king of heavy metal, you cared enough to click the link, read it AND post a comment.
i agree with all the list bar 3)H!3 even being included in it that is pretty shitty!
personally i don’t see why metal hammer felt the need to even publish this, there are only about 5 relevant bands in there, could’ve just said ‘at the drive-in beat a bunch of shit emo bands in pointless list’ and left it at that!
i know im being harsh as i do actually like afi, bad religion etc but i sometimes wonder why metal hammer bother covering things like this. its always a bit worrying to see muse, DEP and deftones classed as punk/emo too!
Quit your crying…..DEP are highly overrated anyways!!!!!
i don’t like DEP just strange to see them classed as punk/emo. i know there’s too many genres of music these days but still! i once saw blink 182 classed as nu metal! mind u, now that most hmv’s have got rid of the metal section u can find bands like mayhem and nile under ‘rock and pop’!!!
Beez my boy! I DONT CARE!!
