Seriously they are a great live band, although they haven’t always been, and how can you blame him for having surgery it’s just his body. I think they are a great band, but as i have said before they are not the best, bands like Metallica and Iron Maiden are the best bands.

@ SK I’m not sure if we were at the same gig because I fucking enjoyed A7X’s show at Twickenham. Granted they didn’t measure up to Maiden but they pretty much owned Lauren Harris and Within Temptation.

A7X is an amazing band and I like it but its good their bringing a darker sound again. I agree waking the fallen was their best album but as a band you cannot stand still. If you want to grow you and want to try diffrent things and some people just can’t appreciate it.
If you think they suck then don’t read the article or any news about A7X. It’s not like you have to listen to them.

Also somewhere in here someone brought up M shadows voice operation, of which for the 1000th time,it hasn’t affected his vocals as he screams in old songs again live now, and the desicion to get rid of the screams was the bands choice, not because Shadows couldn’t do it.

I was around the soundbooth at Twickenham, and everybody around me was either just standing there with their arms folded or sitting down. There were some fans upfront, but 90% of people didn’t give a shit.

It’s funny how many people have an opinion about an album that hasn’t even been recorded yet. Even funnier is how many people get really offended by people’s opinions. lol

I’m guessing it will be different from whatever they’ve done in the past, just because that’s how every record they’ve released has been. Other than that, I have no idea if it will be good or not.

With that said, I really do hope this CD is good. I love Waking the Fallen and City of Evil. The last CD was meh (just my opinion lol)…there were some good songs, but overall it wasn’t that good of an album. It seemed rushed in a lot of places and much of the lyrical content was atrocious. Unlike their other albums, it was self-produced and I think they would have benefitted from an outside influence. So, with that said, I hope they bring in an outside producer, but I’m guessing they won’t.

Avenged Sevenfold is probably the most mis-understood band in music. The stage names and pomp stuff they do is calculated and for effect. I’m 30 years old and grew up on Megadeth and Metallica. My first love was Iron Maiden.

I listend to A7X for the first time about 4 years ago and it was the most excited about music I had been in many years. They are insanely talented and refuse to get painted into any particular musical genre. I’ve seen them live 3 times and they are top notch.

Looking forward to hearing some new stuff!
