Avenged Sevenfold update
This just in:
“The single ‘Burn It Down’ Released June 12th on Warner Bros. Records
Avenged Sevenfold continue to build their reputation as their third album and Warner Bros. Records debut ‘City Of Evil’ continues to go from strength to strength. ‘Burn It Down’, the third single to be taken from the album, will be released on June 12th.
Produced by Mudrock (Chimaira, Eighteen Visions) and mixed by Andy Wallace (Slayer, Faith No More), ‘Burn It Down’ combines Avenged Sevenfold’s patented raw power with one of their strongest hooks to date. As with the rest of ‘City Of Evil’, ‘Burn It Down’ represents a tremendous leap forwards for the band with elements of Pantera, Guns n’ Roses, Iron Maiden, Bad Religion and Mr. Bungle informing their thrillingly visceral sound.
Having won over the UK with an ecstatically received and sold-out tour in March, Avenged Sevenfold return to these shores in June for their highest profile festival show to date. They will play the main stage at Download on June 10th on a bill headed by Metallica and also featuring the likes of Korn, Trivium and Alice In Chains.
Avenged Sevenfold will spend the remainder of May touring North America with Coheed And Cambria before returning to Europe in June.”
There is no better place to be on the 12th June 2006 than celebrating metal with Metal Hammer at the annual Golden Gods Awards, this year at Koko in Camden.
