Here’s and idea for a future feature in Hammer/ Hammer.com:

How about a timeline of all the events unfolding on this tour and the ridiculous excuses that they come up with.

I’ll start:
Tour announced
Tour cancelled via Twitter at the 11th hour
Tour back on
Late on stage – set cut short
Piss moan, piss moan – it’s not our fault – I was asleep and nobody woke me up in time so of course we were late.

I refused to go see em last night and boy am I glad I did! Axl is a complete and utter cunt and the sooner people stop buying tickets to their “gigs” the better.

I hope promoters and bookers learn from this. we don’t want axl anymore stop booking him for festival headline perfomances and ducking arena shows they son’t desrve it.

Why do people go and see GnR expecting a prompt, professional performance?

I’ve never been a fan but even I know Axl doesn’t go on stage until most people are in bed so why boo when he comes on at Axl o’clock?

He’s a bell-end but so are those that go and see him.

Venues should just stop booking GnR until Axl learns how to conduct himself properly. Why should the staff at these venues be forced to put up with the amount of crap that comes with a GnR gig nowadays when the bulk of the crowd will end up being given refunds anyway. The venue staff have lives too and i expect dont appreciate being kept behind at work so much later than they would usually have to because a millionaire rockstar cant be arsed to go out on stage on time.

I agree Dannyb, in fact I wish promoters and such would just boycott “Guns N’ Roses” altogther – until Axl grows up a bit he doesn’t deserve any money or attention.

Also he should be strapped to a rickety chair/stool and gagged, whilst he’s forced to watch a Slash gig

I think it would be good if the crowd turned on the arseholes who throw the bottles myself.

Axl let guns die not one wants to see your tribute band anymore.

If anyone ones a true guns experience go see slash and myles kennady they are fantastic and perform these songs how they are meant to be performed. All we need is myles to join VR and they will become as good if not better than guns.

Because I’ve seen GNR(the real deal circa 1987-1993 not this ridiculous joke of a tribute band) 4 times. Out of those, Axl was only late once(Foxboro 1992). At Boston 1993 someone threw a bottle at him and they only stopped the show for 10 minutes, completely professional.

Axl Rose is really starting to get my fucking back up.

and despite all this crap, i’m still tempted to get tickets for London. I’m resigned to the fact i’ll never get to see a ‘classic’ line up so this is about as good as it gets. Not sure whether i’d want to see Slash though, the guy’s a legend but his recent album was so bad I wanted to cry!

the sooner ppl realize that this is not guns n roses the better, axl still to this day Axl is so far up his own arse he can see his Gucci shoes. the man makes me sick. this isn’t a band, its a fucking disgrace of a tribute act with a geriatric cunt screaming all other the place. it pisses me off so much because both of the use your illusions are 2 of my fav albums. but i wouldn’t wanna see them live. i have better things to do with my money, like seeing bands that actually care about their audience.

fuck ‘guns n roses’ even if the original line up came together and played i would’nt even bother going to that the other guys should have made sure this tribute act should have never happened, to then put the name of the greatest ever rock band to utter fucking shame.

danny – try telling that to the 20,000 people who have sold out the O2 and have forced the organisers to book a second night. Face it, Guns N Roses have a reputation that attracts people still. Hell, even the NAME excites some people enough to see them – as I said on an earlier thread concerning the band, I would be tempted to see them in October on the grounds that i wouldve seen GUNS N ROSES in some shape or form. I won’t be going because £45 is too expensive and the ticket sites want an extra £6.25 on top for admin. I totally agree with mat666 though – I do not support bottling of ANY kind towards ANY band – even MCR at Download ‘07.

I DO agree that Axl is a cock, however – given that he posted on his Twitter that he was backstage at Reading 9 hours before he was due to go on and he STILL hit the stage late is totally unacceptable.

Axl can do anything and I will still love him. I’ve seen slash and he was amazing, but GNR at Leeds were just perfect. Got my ticket to see them again in Manchester, and I can’t fucking wait. Fuck all you haters, because there are still loads of people who do like axl and co.
