Benji Skindred: “Sonisphere’s Going To Be Like A Mass Karaoke”

Benji Webbe from the mighty Skindred has been talking of his admiration for Linkin Park ahead of the band’s headline set at this year’s Sonisphere festival.
“Linkin Park have written some amazing songs and I think they’re going to be a great ending to a fantastic day,” Webbe told the official Sonisphere guide. “It’s going to be like a mass karaoke; some of those songs, I don’t even have the records, but I know every word, they’re that kind of band.”

Sonisphere will be headlined by Metallica and Linkin Park and will take place on August 1st – 2nd at Knebworth. Also on the bill will be Heaven & Hell, Nine Inch Nails, Bullet For My Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold, Lamb Of God, Alice In Chains, Mastodon, Anthrax, Airbourne, Corey Taylor and Killing Joke.

He was right about it being one big karaoke!!! Linkin Park are nothing more than that.. talentless, guitar pop, smash hits cover stars, plastic rock wannabes! Just coz you got a guitar doesn’t make you metal!!! Bjorn Again will be more metal guarantee you!
To be fair, LP’s first album and most of the second album was fucking great, but after that they became absolute shite.

Can’t wait for this festival.. I hate LP, all their latest music is pop so all the emo’s will be there. I’m most looking forward to LoG, Mastodon, Anthrax & Alice In Chains, I wanna see Limp do some of their old stuff like Boiler.
