Blog: Are Machine Head Planning Something Special Tonight?
According to Metal Hammer’s backstage moles, the Machine Head boys are planning something very special indeed this evening and it has something to do with one of the biggest metal bands of all time.
If our sources are to be believed, Machine Head will be playing their cover of Iron Maiden’s ‘Hallowed Be Thy Name’ at Hammersmith Apollo this evening but the fun doesn’t stop there. Bruce Dickinson and Steve Harris are also expected to be at this evening’s show.
So that’ll be Machine Head playing one of the world’s most well-loved metal anthems, in front of two members of the band, in the venue where a portion of ‘Live After Death’ was recorded.
The ‘Hammeer blog would like to wish Machine (fucking) Head the best of luck with this one. No pressure, lads.

YOU FUCKERS!!!!
Why can’t this be happening at Glasgow?!
:O why couldnt this have been last night
Thats quite special – its times like this i wish i still lived in london…:(
Play it in manchester please?
wow!!! thats a fucking show right there I still dont get why there opening for slipknot dont get me wrong slipknot are an amazing band but surely it should be the other way round shouldn it…… or maybe it should happen more often? im on to summin here
What the fuck? Why do london always get the good shit. Fuckin annoyin or what. How about Manchester?!?!?!?!
well, i agree with the others, this is crap, as is many of the other dates announced by the biggest metal bands around, we have to waste money on petrol just 2 get there, just like when i travelled 200 miles up the country for The Black Crusade (though it was well worth it!) announce some more smaller venues plz!!
Lol Machine Head would not sell out London 3 times over! Also wat the hell, it is slipknots tour, so I dont know what you mean by how MH should be the headline?
The point in ‘Knot announcing a SMALLER venue when they sold out pretty much this entire tour?
Are you CRAZY!?
fuck yeah , i was there!!! (h) , They were amazing =D
IT WAS SO FUCKING SICK, I VOMITED FROM HEADBANGING SO MUCH LOL
I was there, it was wicked!
Am gonna be at the Cardiff gig on the 5th – can’t wait – am taking my son who’s 12, it’ll be his first ever gig! Am soooo excited! Am wondering if I’ll be the oldest girl there? I’m 44.
