Yesterday we brought you Daphne & Celeste and 50 Cent at Reading and today it’s all about My Chemical Romance and Lethal Bizzle at Download! We fear for Bjorn Again at Sonisphere!
We love Lethal B around these parts. He came in to chat to us on the Hammer podcast about his (at the time) upcoming Download performance and we broke it to him that he might have piss thrown at him. It’s fair to say he’s had happier moments.
Here’s how his entrance was greeted when he hit the stage at Donington. We just hope he stayed urine-free.
No strangers to being bottled, My Chemical Romance took a bit of a pasting when they hit the stage at Reading in ‘06. At Reading, they’re a little bit more forgiving than we are at Download though, aren’t they?
They are if you look at this shaky footage of the opening 16 seconds of MCR’s Download headline performance in 2007. Ouch.
Sonisphere will be headlined by Metallica and Linkin Park and will take place on August 1st – 2nd at Knebworth. Also on the bill will be Heaven & Hell, Nine Inch Nails, Bullet For My Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold, Lamb Of God, Alice In Chains, Mastodon, Anthrax, Airbourne, Corey Taylor and Killing Joke.

To be fair to lethal B though, from the sounds of things once the bottles stopped they actually enjoyed him.
yeah lethal B owned the stage and was inviting them to bottle him, he earned alot of resopect for that performance
i’d rather listen to him than MCR or any other shitty emo band. Rap music really isn’t that bad.
Bizzle dealt with it fantastically and he was really good!! He totally turned the crowd around, from hating him to wanting more! He’s awesome!!
Oh and I love MCR, top band in my opinion, I don’t see why people despise them quite so much.
Allot of respcet for bizzle for carrying on after the early bottle throwing as it was like tne arrow scene from 300.

Are you joking, Lethal Bizzle did not win the crowd over, he got completely Mullered on stage, he didn’t enjoy it, just listen to what he said after, racial attack my arse, he was just crap. Worst festival booking ever.
That twat Valo from HIM getting beers chucked at him and booed at the Golden Gods a few years back was class! Was funny that when it was shown on TV it just cut to him saying “thanks” hahahaha
Fuck’s sake, can people not just learn to behave civilly when they’re confronted with music somebody else likes? Why do they have to make animals of themselves? I’m sure there was someone on the mainstage they could’ve watched rather than abusing Lethal Bizzle and if you don’t like the headliners why not go get a few drinks instead and leave the people who want to listen to it in peace?
