Bon Jovi To Play O2 Residency
/ News / 23/10/2009 11:04am
Starting on June 7th, Bon Jovi are taking over the o2 in London!
Dates are already booked for June 7th, 8th, 10th, 11th, 13th at the arena with more dates expected to be announced once these sell out.
It leaves June 12th free which is expected to be the Saturday of next year’s Download festival. Click here to see our list of bands who we think could headline next year’s Download festival.
Tickets go on sale next Friday, October 30th. O2 Priority customers can get their hands on tickets from tomorrow morning (October 23rd) at 9am.

Here’s hoping for Download
Massive massive yawn
I’d assume this means they won’t be at Download – I think the day off on the 12th is just a standard day off… at their age I’d be suprised if they play 4 days in a row (10th,11th,12th and 13th)
Please do not headline Download.
ok so 100 00 ppl atleast wil be going to these 02 shows. so surely they arent headling material if they just played to most of their fans
I saw them at Twickenham in ‘08. They put on a great show, although I knew none of the new stuff obviously…. Great people-watching event though, a Bon Jovi gig brings out all types!
How much do bon jovi standing tix cost?
Do you have to pay more to be in the stupid ‘golden circle’ bit?
Bon Jovi ladies and gentlemen Wooo
BON JOVI FOR BLOODSTOCK!!!! lol
van halen own bon jovi anyday
please write about a group/act that matters
wat?? no standing tickets at all-the shame! oh well got my tickets anyway!
If they play Download (I hope they do, personally) it’ll most likely be the second or third slot on Sunday. I couldn’t see them headlining.
Regardless of whether they do or not, I’d like some non-festival dates. I mean, 5 dates at the same venue? and not even a tour?
65quid a ticket tho and then fees ontop f**kin expensive im waiting on them to be at download mayb 2nd stage headliners?
Shit, didn’t realise they’ve booked a date for Sunday. Scratch what I just said.
excellent!glad it`s not manchester city ground venue.bad venue,bad sound.booking my ticket.massive metal fan,but bon jovi always do a killer peformance.shut up u moaning t**ts!
As much as i do love Bon Jovi…and i REALLY Love them….£75 for a decent seated ticket!? they can f*ck right of!
I hate bands like this who overcharge “their fans” for lame seats, i don’t think there’s a standing area either. And because of the o2 customer presale there’s hundreds of tickets on ebay people are selling at whatever price they want. £900 for two tickets was the highest one i saw! I could go on holiday, get a new guitar or go to hundreds of gigs for that price!
The stage is tiny too, it’ll be hard to see even with closer seats!
I mean. i like Bon Jovi and all 5 of their good songs, but…
its just wrong.
The same happened for AC/DC this year, i was lucky and got my standing tickets for the o2 and wembley for the original price of £45-£50 i think (same as the times i’ve seen Maiden and big bands which is reasonable), but my friends had to pay £150 for a ticket off some money grabbing guy on ebay! Its not the bands fault, its the people who get tickets in the presale and put them on ebay.
But not in Bon Jovi’s case. They have high ticket prices in the first place.
To be honest, they and their pussy rock can go fuck themselves, i’m saving my money for a decent rock show. Yea
Seen Jovi many times over the years but fuck ‘em this time. Those prices are nothing short of extortionate!!!!
Saw Green Day at the O2 last weekend for £45,the same ticket for Bon Jovi is £200…you must be joking. This will be the first Bon Jovi tour where I won’t be going.
It’s been a long time since Bon Jovi were the kind of band who’d play a festival like Download, or any festival for that matter. They are all about golden circles, hospitality packages and over-inflated ticket prices. Top seats for these O2 gigs are £200 plus booking fee. Stop me if I’m wrong, but have you ever heard anything so ridiculous? Even Madonna wouldn’t dare to charge that much!
The real tragedy is that there are enough people prepared to pay these prices. Leave ‘em to it I say – one night for the cost of a 3-4 day festival? No thanks. I just hope the band plough some of their extortion racket into helping the poor and needy back in New Jersey!
