What’s so offensive about BMTH? I don’t like their music (it’s boring) but it just means I don’t care about them. I’m not angry that they aren’t great. There are plenty of mediocre metal bands, aren’t BMTH just another one of these?

Another thing, they are definitely making heavy music and they are definitely making metal music. That’s not up for debate surely. It’s not like Brokencyde or Hinder or some other shit band who are mutating or watering-down a specific genre. They play a variant of death metal as to numerous other bands. You listen to it and it has death metal influences. There is nothing ’scene’ about death metal influences, anyway if they are ’scene’ they’ll be gone soon so there’s even less reason to get annoyed.

Another thing, if you were a fraud and didn’t like death metal, you would hardly form a band, play it day in day out and then receive very little monetary compensation for it. You’d make an emo band or something that is radio friendly e.g. Paramore.

People get pissy about them about their ‘contrived image’ but seriously they’re just young dudes in a band who dress and look like young dudes all over the country. What’s the problem?

Following on from what lacey1 said, I’d like to raise an objection to Rey, Ollie and Miguel, who for some reason see fit to use the term fag in an apparently casual manner. Please correct me if I’m wrong, but it is hard to interpret the use of the word fag in this context or indeed any context, without it coming across as very homophobic. Homophobia is incredibly outdated and really fucking ignorant. Why can’t you just call them pricks or perhaps don’t even call them anything, just express your opinion that you don’t like their music?

They are a metal band (I think a good one but you can have your opinions), so they can get featured. Even if you don’t like them, doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be.
I don’t exactly complain whenever Hammer features Immortal or Dragonforce or KISS or Turisas. I know they’re metal bands, so they are well within their right to be in Metal Hammer. And BMTH are certainly more metal than KISS or Dragonforce… just stop complaining and don’t listen to their music.

If you read my post properly at the begining of these comments I called them a bunch of cunts, not “this shit band”. I really don’t care about their music, I can take it or leave it. I don’t really dislike it (if it came on in a club or somewhere I would turn around and storm out of the place) but I have to say I’ve heard it done before by a million other bands and also done a million times better. No I called them CUNTS because that’s what those try-hard wankers are!! They’re more into it for the fashion, they no nothing about the music they prented to be playing (I read in Terrorizer magazine once were they said that Carcass, circa. “Heartwork”, wasn’t really death metal…) and they just come across in interviews as a bunch of right horrible bastards. That Oli prick needs a good smack in the teeth.

i dont get why ppl hate them so much i think there music is awesome. i dont tend to give a shit about what they wear. just cause i wouldnt wear it dont mean i dislike them. i wouldnt wear what dimmu/cradle wear dont mean they’re not awesome.

Well obviously you’ve got the wrong idea about rockstars because of scene kids like this, a lot of rockers these days are not obnoxious(sp?) or arrogant people, like Randy Blythe or Corey Taylor aren’t arrogant and they are ten even twenty times better musically than this bunch of twats and not just musically either.
