Bullet For My Valentine picMatt Tuck talks to us about what you can expect from BFMV’s Download set this coming June! Get Download 2010 tickets here!

Bullet For My Valentine spoke to Metal Hammer about what we can expect from the Welsh metallers at this year’s Download festival!

“It will be the first UK show with the new material,” says Tuck. “It’s gonna be cool as fuck. We’re planning something super special because we’re not touring before then. We don’t want to piss off any UK fans but we’re just flipping it round this way, so Donington is going to be a very special moment for us.

“We’re going to bring screams, fire, all the gubbins. We’re working really hard on our live performance and really stepping it up. We’ve always been a decent live band, but now we want to become a world class rock act. We haven’t decided on a set list yet, but there’ll be some new ones, some old ones and some surprises thrown in. Maybe some b-sides stuff which we’ve never done before.”

Bands confirmed for this year’s Download festival thus far: AC/DC, Aerosmith, Rage Against The Machine, Them Crooked Vultures, Deftones, Stone Temple Pilots, Bullet For My Valentine, 30 Seconds To Mars, Stone Sour, Wolfmother, Megadeth, Motorhead, Billy Idol, Lamb Of God, Volbeat, Five Finger Death Punch and many, many more to still be announced. Pity they’re clashing with the mighty AC/DC. There’s no way I can miss what will probably be their last UK show ever.

Sort it out AC!

its not a pity? ACDC will still play the same setlist theyve played for the last 4 years whats the point?
id deffo be hitting up second stage to see bullet tear it apart! i was much suprised by trivium last year as i was an older fan and hate the new stuff like many others but they destroyed the second stage last year! deffo worth missing def leppard for

Agreed. I would absolutely love to see BFMV but there is no way in hell I’m missing AC/DC

Agreed with Shane*

I’ve heard rumours that they’re going to delay ACDC until BFMV finishes because of ‘the clash’ because they are two bands most people would want to see

I’d absolutely love that. Apparently that’s what they’re trying to do with Stone Sour and Aerosmith

chris (not that mental guy who posted before)

if you would rather see this jumped up boy band than AC/DC your crazy! everything that is ruining “metal”

” World Class Rock Act”? Matt Tuck is such an egotistical fucking wanker, his band is shit too. BRING ON THE MIGHTY AC/DC :)

Riffz just stfu, i would like to see you play download and have people argue about seeing you or acdc

This I like!
Last year I wanted to see 5 of the main 6 headliners. I was really happy I saw the bands I did, but I was abslutely gutted that I missed the other 2. Really really want to see BFMV and ACDC. Come on LiveNation – do us a favour on this one. That, or put same lame ass “warm down” band on 2nd after BFMV.

BFMV>AC/DC.

As simple as that….

Cameron

tambam—- mate andy cop said that about last year how there wud be a break between slipknot and prodigy : / and there wasent it really did piss me of i went to see Slipknots full set instaid was really angry i didnt get to see prodigy
But scratcherrrrr
Purple campsite again this year

i agree, please dont clash with ACDC!!! :(

They played a new song at Sonisphere last year. So it’s not the first UK show with new material then is it

Destroying Dignity

to be honest, i’ve seen BFMV 3 times and they were shite twice and average the other time. i don’t mind the band, they’ve got enough good songs to make a decent setlist, but their performances are incredibly dull. i walked off during sonisphere cos they were boring the shit out of me!

Stone Sour had better not clash with Aerosmith!!!!! this makes me sad. But yeh i mean im not a huge ACDC fan but i want to see them, however Bullet have been one of my top bands for ages, this will be my 5th time and i still wouldnt miss any of their set. Im hoping they delay ACDC so i can see both

BFMV are headlining the second stage? I thought they were lower down on the main stage? That brilliant news then, I won’t have to see them!

McMenemy

Oh yeah that Matt Tuck eh, such an egotistical wanker for having aspirations eh?

I hope they do mature and manage to do it. Wouldn’t be a bad thing for their fans

xXMagmaXx

WTF !!! BFMV est un groupe qui owne* carrément c’est mon band préférer j’emmerde Riffz car il emmerde BFMV… Long live to metal !

Iain the tattooed love gorilla

It amuses me that anyone belives download would delay AC/DC because…whoever they are, are on!

Copping’s tweeted that the timings are set so that there is no clash, all good!

i agree with ‘iain the tattooed love gorilla’, if anyone thinks that they are gonna delay ACDC coz bullet are headlining 2nd stage need to seek professional help. think about it….Download have been trying to book ACDC since 2003! do you really think they are gonna give a toss about the 2nd stage headliner?

and anyway, was there not a rumour goin round that there will be less bands on the main stage under ACDC so they can have a longer set???

Josh Gonsalves

@Chris, AC/DC were not touring four years ago.

Florentine

Im definitly seeing bullt over AC/DC. Both Great bands but d rather se a and in their prime ndive aleady seen acdc and wouldnt want to see the same show…. haha and oh yeah BFMV RULEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jordanious77

stuff ac/dc, rofl, its not even metal anymore.. it would be what you would now call glam metal or hard rock…

bullet are 100x better, sure back in the day ac/dc were concidered a decent metal band.. but now they’re an old hard rock band who are only still liked because of their rep..

i’ve seen hundreds of ac/dc covers by up-and-coming teeny bands who are better then ac/dc.. times change…

wouldnt miss bullet for most bands, especially a washed up rock band..

metal 4life.
