Calling All Bands, Reviewers & Photographers! Dark Days Wants You!
Do you want to get your band on the same bill as the hottest talent in the UK (including The Plight, Your Demise, and more!) at this year’s massive Dark Days festival? How about reviewing or photographing the show for Metal Hammer online? Step this way! Get your tickets for Dark Days!
If you’re in a band and you think you can mix it with the big boys, we’ve received the following exciting news from the organizers of the Dark Days festival:
“Calling all bands!”
“To win the chance for your band to open the Dark Days event taking place at 02 Academy in London on 11th April, alongside ace bands The Plight, Your Demise, Lower Than Atlantis and many more, simply head on over to the Dark Days Myspace and post your band’s MySpace link in the relevant blog along with a quick sentence on why we should put you on the bill.”
“See you down the front!”
But that’s not all! Metal Hammer and Visible Noise are giving you the opportunity to be the official reviewer or photographer for Metal Hammer Online for the upcoming Dark Days event at the O2 Academy in London on 11th April.
Two lucky winners will get the opportunity to have their previous work examined and get advice from a top Metal Hammer journalist and a professional Rock photographer, before being sent into the thriving masses at the event to shoot/interview/review bands like YOUR DEMISE,THE PLIGHT and LOWER THAN ATLANTIS and many more. The winners will then write up their review/sort their photos, submit it, and then see their work published on Metal Hammer Online for all the world to see as the official review/photos from the event!
To enter the competition, head on over to the Dark Days MySpace blog and post your best example of live band photography below in the following format if you’re a photographer, or post a 50 word maximum live review/interview if you’re a writer. Feel free to post links to further work!
The winners will be contacted through their Myspace account, so keep checking for updates!
Good luck!
