I can't say I disagree with you, or feel that differently, Metal-kiwi. I have been a Metallica fan since the beginning. When 'Kill em All' first came out, I was trying to turn on all my friends to this insanely great new band, but no one seemed to get it. Metallica started off by teaching kids how to think for themselves, and fight oppressions. Now they almost seem like poster boys for the opposite. And yes Metal-kiwi, it was a great night, but be sure I am truly grateful for these sick experiences, and I am always aware of how fortunate I've been, and will never take it for granted...

To be honest I'm not surprised. 'Tallica are a fantastic band, with amazing songs and crazy fans, but making support bands' sound bad is the exact kind of juvenile stupidity I'd expect of them. As people they annoy me. As a band, one of the best in the world. Sounded like a great night Chaos, I'm jealous as fuck.

Well I've seen Metallica every time they've played Dublin over the last 10 years and the support bands, while not being as loud as Metallica, always sounded grand. Last August I saw Mastodon, Alice In Chains and Avenged support and could hear them all perfectly. And I'm old and a bit deaf!

Jay, the support bands for tallica get shit sound.

Machine head and the sword supported tallica when i saw them. The sword had a really low end sound and machine head was just drums and vocals and us audience were like "this is lame, when will it end" so there was no movement and no one could be arsed with them.
But metallica, suprise suprise, had perfect sound!

It always happens to opening acts i've seen; Testament, amon amarth, mastodon, the answer...

I saw LOG 3 times. They were awesome opening for Slayer once, same with when they toured with Slipknot, but I just saw them with Metallica and the sound was horrible. It was disappointing

i went to see this tour, with job for a cowboy supporting. that was a great night. lamb kicked major ass, with randy complimenting job's awesome (if short) set, and basically acting like a chuck norris character, reserving himself and waiting till it was time to STRIKE!!!
