Chiodos Frontman Readies New Album
Chiodos frontman Craig Owens has revealed details of a new solo EP and he’s copping a bit of flack for its title.
Craig Owens, vocalist with piano-laden post-hardcore types Chiodos, has named his solo EP, ‘Με την αγάπη’. No, we don’t know what he’s gabbing on about either.
Since revealing the title, Owens has taken a pasting from the folks at the Absolutepunk message boards. Amongst the gems being thrown at him are “Hey at least he didn’t steal it from Bukowski” and our favourite, “What a fucking douchebag”.
Owens has since issued a response saying: “I can’t believe what I’m reading via absolutepunk.net regarding the name of my new soloEP. The most close minded & uneducated group of music fans” that I’ve come across in my 10 yrs of doing this. I have recently fallen in love with my gfs family & customs. Learning the language & celebrating their holidays in admiration. They have inspired & given support for the material on my new record & no other title seems fit. I would like everyone to just go ahead & glance at the comments made last night/this morning. Then, I would like to thank all of you for NOT being ANYTHING like the borderline bigots that have spouted off @ the mouth, simply to spread negativity without substance. Craig.”

Please, its a better name than his bands is, ‘Chiodos’? What the hell is that? at least his ep’s name means something in A language!
‘Chiodo’ means nail in Italian (the ones you hammer into a wall); although the plural of it would be ‘chiodi’, so they’ve either taken from the English or the Spanish as far as the final ’s’ is concerned… Just a hypothesis
They look like emos or sumthin…..
I think that his music will sell simply because everyone who listened to chiodos only listened for craig’s voice, lyrics, and the additioning of a piano to put the icing on the cake. Chiodos will not be nowhere near as good or sell as many records if any at all without the talented craig owens
