Clutch: “This Album Cuts Right To The Chase”
Clutch singer Neil Fallon has been speaking to Metal Hammer about the band’s new record, ‘Strange Cousins From The West’.
“It’s tough for me to comment on the new album because I’m so close to it, but I do feel like albums are like a snapshot of where a band is,” says Fallon. “With this album, I think it’s much more stripped-down than the last two records. There’s just guitars, bassdrums and vocals and that’s all there is to it. The last two records had a lot of bells and whistles and I don’t think that’s a bad thing, but it’s good to refocus and look at something in a more skeletal fashion. This record is quite skeletal. It cuts right to the chase.”
