Corey Taylor And More For Sonisphere!
Slipknot frontman to play debut UK solo show at Knebworth, plus more bands added!
Slipknot frontman Corey taylor will be performing an acoustic set at Sonisphere and fellow ‘Knot member Shawn Crahan will be performing with his new band, Dirty Little Rabbits.
Also confirmed for Sonisphere are The Chapman Family, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Fighting With Wire, Rolo Tomassi, Twin Atlantic, Attack! Attack!, Cancer Bats.
The festival has added a third stage (though what stage all of the aforementioned acts will appear on is not yet clear) and announced the Bohemia Village, which will open on the Thursday afternoon and specialise in a heady mix of entertaining carnage, set against a Moulin Rouge meets Mad Max background.
Sonisphere will be headlined by Metallica and Linkin Park and will take place on August 1st – 2nd at Knebworth. Also on the bill will be Nine Inch Nails, Bullet For My Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold, Machine Head, Lamb Of God, Alice In Chains, Mastodon, Anthrax, Airbourne, Thin Lizzy, Killing Joke and The Sword.

Despite the fact that the Download announcement contained only Steel Panther and The 69 Eyes of any interest to me, this latest batch of additions to Sonisphere pales in comparison to those very two bands alone. The line-up doesn’t look any more special than it did before. Seen most of those bands before, not particularly dying to see those that I haven’t.
they need two or three big bands for me to startt interest.
alkthough log are one of my favourites,and there are MFH and skindred, not gonna pay 180 notes to see em.
People, this isn’t the big announcement. These are just 3rd stage acts that are just there. The big announcement is the 2nd sub headliner to play before metallica or linken park (metallica i think) which has not been anounnced yet.
noob potato: we know this isnt the ‘big one’ but its getting stupid, they said 3 weeks ago there would be an announcement… still nothing… deciding if i should go to Download aswell but need the to know whos playing sonis!
its a good line-up for sonisphere, however im going to wacken that weekend which makes sonisphere look pretty crappy in comparison, besides best british festival is bloodstock
