Following on from Joey Jordison’s comments about the future of Slipknot, Corey Taylor has also said something short about the future of the metal legends.

Joey Jordison last week said that Slipknot would absolutely continue and today, when asked by Zane Lowe, Corey taylor had the following to say about the future of the band: “It’s too soon right now, but we’re still talking, all of us are talking and everthing’s good but we’ll see.”

I really hope they still go on. I would really love to see them live again. \m/ [ -_- ] \m/

I just hope it doesn’t turn into a KISS kind of thing where the guy who(well if…) replaces him just completely tries to be paul, wearing his mask and all that lot, though I’m certain with a band like Slipknot who will wanna progress, if they do take the decision to go on, that they would completely integrate a new guy, whether they do it with their masks on or off is another question all together…

Joey said in his interview with blaber mouth that either him mick or james will do the bass on the next album and they will have someone to play the live concerts.

drummer JOEY JORDISON has promised fans the band will rock on following the death of bassist PAUL GRAY, although they have no plans to ever replace the late star.

Gray, 38, was found dead from an accidental overdose in a suburban Des Moines, Iowa hotel in May (10).

His bandmates have been struggling to come to terms with their grief and guitarist Jim Root recently admitted the heavy rockers were still too distraught to even consider recording or performing again without their pal.

He said, “There’s going to be a big healing process that needs to happen before we even think about whether or not Slipknot will continue. And right now that’s the furthest thing from our mind.

“Right now we are just grieving or trying to find time to grieve anyway for the fact that our bro’s gone. It’s weird because some days I don’t even think it’s real, so that one’s not going to make sense for a while.”

But Jordison is adamant Slipknot will live on, reports The Pulse of Radio.

He says, “There will be no other bass players besides Jim, Mick (Thomson, guitarist) and me, more than likely. Everyone actually kind of plays guitar in the band, so I think we’re all gonna play bass on the record. We’re not gonna have anyone come in. But live, we’ll deal with that when it comes.”

A new Slipknot release is not expected until at least 2012.

Wooptidoo their latest album werent to your standard or to the standard of the earlier stuff but it was still good either way it just shows they arent a band with a one tracked mind and either way they have got so many people into heavy music (including me)

i hope they make a good comeback for the respect of paul, i rekon they should go with just have a replacement touring bassist im behind them for whatever they do!
