Cornell Speaks Out On Soundgarden’s Near Reunion
In the wake of the near Soundgarden reunion in Seattle earlier this month, their former frontman has some tantalising news for us.Soundgarden members Kim Thayil, Ben Shepherd, and Matt Cameron performed together onstage for the first time in more than a decade on March 24 at Seattle’s Crocodile Cafe for a show held by Tom Morello’s Axis Of Justice.
Speaking recently to the Washington Post, the former Audioslave and Soundgarden luminary said he “probably would have got up on stage”
Adding: “I thought it was cool that they’d actually got together and rehearsed some songs. I was kind of surprised by it, to be honest, and I love Tad. We toured with Tad; I’ve always felt he was a really amazing person and a really talented guy. So I just really thought it was a cool thing for them to do. They were just getting up there and doing it for fun, and I think that’s great.
“The only thing I didn’t like is that I wasn’t there to see it”
Despite earlier this year asserting that there are “no plans” for a Soundgarden reunion, when quizzed on the topic, Cornell cryptically replied: “You never know”
Cornell has been doing the PR rounds recently, defending his latest LP ‘Scream’.

Stop being a jerk off you cunt, everyone is dying to see it. I was lucky to see you lot when you played in ‘94, don’t hack off the people who would kill to see you now. Cut out all this “I’m a tourtured soul and my art me so much to me” shit and just play “Hands All Over” to people that are dying to hear it.
Sort ya act out.
Who the fuck is Tad?
