Dark Days – Gentleman’s Pistols Interview
Rock n’ roll riffsters Gentleman’s Pistols are ready to bring their own distinctive brand of fury to this year’s Dark Days festival. We caught up with them to find out about how they’ll take on all comers! Get tickets for Dark Days!
How do you feel about being the most ‘rock’ thing on a bill of quite heavy bands?
James Atkinson (lead guitar, vocals): It’s not something we really think about. We will play with any band, anywhere. Is not all heavy music rock n roll of some description anyway?
Do you enjoy festivals and mixed-up crowds more than your own shows?
Atkinson: As I said before, we aren’t really concerned with who we play with and to, the more the merrier. As long as we are doing it and people are having a good time, that’s the most important thing.
How do you think you will go down with some of the younger people in the crowd (it’s an all-agers)?
Atkinson: Who knows.. we relish the challenge.
What are you most looking forward to about this festival?
Atkinson: I think if I said anything other than actually playing the gig it would be ridiculous.
