Dave Ellefson Talks Out On Megadeth Reunion

The bassist says that reconnecting with Dave Mustaine over the weekend was ‘wonderful’.
Dave Ellefson has spoken to Classic Rock magazine about agreeing to rejoin Megadeth.
“It literally happened over the weekend,” said Ellefson. “And I can hardly believe it myself. There was clearly gonna be a change in the lineup, because James Lomenzo was leaving. Dave and I talked on the phone, and all the feuds, all the arguments we’ve been having over the years just melted away. It just goes to show what direct contact can achieve!”

Best Megadeth lineup ever IMO. Ellefson was their best bassist, Dave is ever present, Drover is a technically immaculate drummer and Broderick is easily the best guitar player they’ve ever had.

I doubt Menza’s spot will be open any time soon, cos dave has been workin with drover for a good ol’ amount of time now, but hopefully broderick (As amazing as he is) will step aside for marty in the near future!!! Download???

I would love to see Marty back with Megadeth again! No harsh feelings to Chris Broderick I think he’s very talented and his guitar work in the new album is first class. But Marty is the solo player who really showed the metal scene an alternative edge saving us from just sloppy sped up wanking licks. Every solo is different with him, and even over the most harshest riff you can get the most subtle melodys that really do stick with you. He really is a unique player. I think all the lead guitar players who have been through Megadeth are great, And maybe it’s about time we stop ranting on about who’s the best guitar player and grow up! They’re all awesome because Mustaine only ever picks the finest pedigree of musicians for Megadeth.
David and Dave are Megadeth…now all we need is Marty…to return and Megadeth will be invincible..
