Dave Grohl, Josh Homme & John Paul Jones Supergroup

grohl_90A Foo Fighter, a Queen of the Stone Age and a member of one of the greatest bands of all time are set to join forces to create one hell of a supergroup. Could this also include Mike Patton?

Dave Grohl, Josh Homme and John Paul Jones are currently holed up in a Los Angeles studio recording an album together. The long-touted project has had the cat let out of the bag by Homme’s wife, Brody Dalle of Spinnerette.

Speaking to Anti-Quiet, Dalle said: ““I’m not at liberty to talk about it… but I think (the project) is pretty fucking amazing. Just beats and sounds like you’ve never heard before.”

It was recently revealed that Homme and Mike Patton of Faith No More were working on a project together. Could this project be what was rumored and how much ass would it kick if it was?

This would kick ass, seriously.
Hope Mike Patton is involved; Can’t begin to imagine what the songs will sound like with his awesomely varied voice!
Chickenfoot who? :P

Yeah this looks good on paper… however most recent ‘Super Groups’ pretty much failed to deliver, Audioslave, VR, Army of anyone. Hope Patton stays out of this and continues his own collaborations!

Holy fucking shitballs :| I actually trust this “supergroup” too. It’s very rare that anything Dave Grohl is anything short of awesome

If this happens, the fabric of the universe would spontaneously combust and be torn asunder with the awesomeness.

i cant see mike patton fitting in with that type of music. might be too rock for him , he likes his funk, but id be interseted in wat it sounds like

If Mike Patton joins it will shit all over Chickenfoot. TBH it already will.

Part of me hopes Mike Patton will be involved, part of me hopes he won’t, because then we can pointlessly speculate for months about who’ll be singing. If anyone. Fucking hell I can’t wait

Is MH the Mike Patton ass cleaning service or something. Talk about over-rated. He’s scarcely worthy of breathing Josh Homme’s exhalation, let alone that of Grohl and JPJ

Dward dead

Errrm, excuse me? Have you heard the Fantomas? Let alone the fantomas melvins big band? Although I am undecided as to wether Patton would mix well with these’ genii among noise mongerers.

If it’s true that Patton is in on this as well, it all depends on what he’ll be bringing to the music. I can definitely see the FNM side of him fitting in with this lot. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. I’m still excited though, woo!
