Deftones Album Set For 2010
They hoped it might be made available by the end of the year, but it appears that the Deftones have put their new album back until 2010.
According to The PRP, the album is expected to be given a release in February of next year. After shelving material recorded that was scheduled to be called ‘Eros’, Chino Moreno told us the following about what to expect from the new album:
“When it’s heavy it’s going to bust your brain but the biggest thing about the record is that it sounds massive,” smiles Moreno. “It has our core sound but it’s different again from our other records. We just know that we’ve got a killer record that we’re all proud of. You’ll understand why when you hear it.”
Deftones have recently been throwing a new track into their set called ‘Rocket Skates’ and you can check that out here.

That statement sounds like the one they put out for Saturday night wrist,which was also shelved and re-recorded, i hope the new stuff is alot better than the prevoius couple of efforts.
Saturday Night Wrist was a beautiful record and I’m happy they also took their time with this one. It’s gonna pay off and I’m sure it’ll satisfy most deftones fans. 2010 is a great fuckin’ year for albums seeing to start it off we have fear factory, korn, and of course deftones. Gonna be a sick year!!!

saturday night wrist was an amazing album and there’s alot of quality on the self titled aswell. I’m excited about the new one, lets hope they keep it interesting.
IDeftones albums are always hot ,I think when ATFur came out right after Adrenaline was catching on to people its easy to expect nothing but fire from them can’t leave out Wpony brilliantcy ALL Deftones albums actually have their own unique flavor and both sides of my brain tell me this ones gonna be just as bad ass .
I’m eager to hear it, not just for the sound but because I’ve been waiting since 2008 for the sequel to Saturday Night Wrist

Isn’t a band supposed to expand and change their music as they grow?? Did you see anyone step up to the mona lisa and say..”I want it done this way…”.
These people are artist. Cheers to the Deftones for not putting out Adrenaline I, II, III, VI etc…
I guess artist aren’t allowed to change their styles. Yeah! Now goes asked the Beatles and come back to me on that one.
