Chino and the gang announce their return in 2010.

Deftones will release their as-yet untitled new album on April 26th, 2010. The album was produced by Trivium, Foo Fighters and Danzig collaborator Nick Raskulinecz and will feature the bass playing of Quicksand man Sergio Vega.

We spoke to Deftones vocalist and one of the coolest motherfuckers in rock, Chino Moreno, and he told us: “When it’s heavy it’s going to bust your brain but the biggest thing about the record is that it sounds massive. It has our core sound but it’s different again from our other records. We just know that we’ve got a killer record that we’re all proud of. You’ll understand why when you hear it.”

Deftones are allegedly starting their world tour in February, 2010. If their “oh my word, that was out of this world” Forum show was anything to go by, you won’t want to miss them next time they’re in town.

It’s also been revealed that Chino Moreno will appear on the new album from Methods Of Mayhem.
