Deicide gig without singer
A bunch of high-quality pictures from DEICIDE’s headlining concert last night (Saturday, January 6) at Doornroosje, in Nijmegen, Holland have been posted online at Metal-Experience.com (NOTE: DEICIDE photos appear on pages 2-3). Support at the show came from PSYCROPTIC and VISCERAL BLEEDING.
As reported earlier today, DEICIDE kicked off their European tour on Friday, January 5 without frontman Glen Benton, who reportedly was forced to stay home to take care of pressing legal matters (although this has not been officially confirmed). Replacing Benton for the first four dates of DEICIDE’s tour is SEVERE TORTURE drummer Seth van Loo (photo), who previously took care of vocals in CENTURIAN and NOX. It is not presently clear if Benton will rejoin the band after January 8 for the remainder of the tour or if the group will continue with a different replacement.
Seth van Loo apparently learned 17 songs in one afternoon and did “a great job” at the first show of the trek, which took place in Eindhoven, Holland. [NOTE: Seth van Loo is only singing in the band; he is NOT playing bass. There is currently no replacement bassist in the group.]
