Dimmu Borgir have posted the following update on progress on their forthcoming album:
“We’re more than halfway into it at this point and to say we’re excited about this material would be an understatement!
There will be an orchestra and a choir which we still have to pick out, but judging from what we have so far and what is brewing, it’s going to sound absolutely massive and heavy, dark and epic!”

this is a awesome band and it is a shame that mortis and vortex have departed but im sure dimmu can find suitable replacements, the new album should be gr8
Dimmu Borgir is amazing…can’t wait til the new album hits…i kno its gonna slam like all the others..its
does suck that vortex is out i was a big fan of his voice especially in Sympozium or Insight and The Catharsis but i think they’ll be alright without them.
