Down Announce Plans For Album Number 4
They’ve just got to get celebrating the New Orleans Saints getting to the Superbowl final first.
Down have announced that they intend to record their eagerly-awaited 4th album this year. The current plan for the band is to celebrate the band’s NFL Superbowl appearance (against the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday, February 7th) and then meet to discuss the band’s brand new album with view to recording the album by the end of the year.
In other great Down news, we’re delighted to hear that bassist Rex Brown is on the mend from the pancreatitis that kept him off of the road for a portion of 2009. A statement from Brown reads: “After two major surgeries to close out 2009, I have recovered from pancreatitis and am looking forward to getting back to work with Down. I’d like to thank everyone for their support and well wishes during my illness and recovery.”

Is it just me or is NOLA the only awesome album they’ve done and the others were just OK?
@Divided i agree that NOLA was the best album but Over The Under has good songs too N.O.D.,On March The Saints,Pillamyd,Never Try and Down II has Ghost Along The Mississippi and New Orleans is a dying whore. The second and third albums really aren’t that bad but think of the gap betwwen NOLA and Down II a lot can change in 7 years
Over the Under is one of the best albums of the last decade. Can’t wait for the follow-up!!!!
