Down Bassist To Sit Out US Tour

down_90Former Pantera and current Down bassist Rex Brown will sit out the band’s forthcoming tour ‘to address personal issues’.

Here’s the full statement from Down’s Rex Brown:

“To the Down Brotherhood,
It is with my deepest apologies to let you know that I will not be joining the band on the 1st leg (Aug 3 to Aug 22) of the forthcoming US/Canada tour. It has been mutually agreed upon between myself and the guys that I take this time to address some personal issues. Make no mistake I will be joining my brothers on the 2nd leg of the tour and in the studio in the very near future. This is of utmost importance at this time. Thank you all for your support and understanding. I will see y’all really soon!
With much respect,
Rex Brown”

There’s no word on who will replace Brown at the current point in time. Hammer wishes him all of the best.

Great bassist, my mam fancies him xP I’m more of a Phil girl….

They’re playing some kickass shows with Weedeater, Melvins and Voivod, not all bands at the same time….
