Hardcore Superstar
It’s criminal that Hardcore Superstar aren’t bigger than they are. Glam rock is an attitude, it’s a feeling, it’s something that will make you look like an ass if you’re faking (see Caren’s words on Steadlur yesterday). These boys are the real deal, they’ve got a cocky demeanour and massive chorus’s and Joakim Berg is a star (even if not many people know it).
If you love your 80’s and you’ve let these guys fly under your radar then rectify that, right now.

Oh. My. Word.
I should just leave it at that really. DevilDriver were absolutely savage. They play with the aggression of a hardcore punk band, Caren Gibson summed it up when she says that they’re the missing link between groove-metal and black metal and today was a crowning moment. If they’re not much higher up on next year’s festival bills, give me a hat and I’ll gladly yam it with some ketchup.
And now the moment you’ve all been waiting for. The circle pit. It was HUGE on both sides of the arena and during the second half of ‘Meet The Wretched’, the pace picked up and it was like staring at a human tsunami. If you were part of this, I raise my glass in your direction. Sterling work, guys.
Remember Trivium turning up and turning the metal world on its head in 2006? Welcome to 2009’s version. This could be DevilDriver’s year. Believe it.

Too bloody right it’s Devildriver’s year! I saw that on the webcast! Absolutely insane!
I was bloody air drummin, head-banging and going crazy shouting along to the lyrics at my laptop screen! Damn! Loved DevilDriver since 2005, their just getting better and better!

Loved Hardcore Superstar since I picked up the S/T abum a few years back. One of the most kick ass bands in ther world right now. Beg For It is a great progession with Vic now on guitar. Couldn’t make download, but a UK tour surely can’t be far off now.

was in the right hand of the stage pit, but people were stopping half way through the circle jamming it up !
still, Driver was one of the main reasons i went, if they played Resurrection Blvd i would have cried blood!
setlist was pretty good, pray was awesome live.
had a look on the vids when i got home, they were pretty big circles, shem there were dividers between the fans as we could have had a real world record….
