Dragonforce deserve a hearty round of applause for all and sundry for breaking into the US album chart’s Top 20.

It’s been a slow and steady rise for the UK power metallers but after shifting a massively impressive 24,000 units in their first week, Dragonforce came in at number 19 on the US chart. Add to this a top 20 placing in the UK album chart (the band landing at number 18 on Sunday’s chart) and you can consider ‘Ultra Beatdown’ a massive success.

Metal Hammer would like to extend a huge bout of congratulations to the ‘Force for their achievements.

Dragonforce will tour the UK in September and October with support coming from Turisas.
