Dragonforce Singer Split?
Dragonforce and ZP Theart have gone their seperate ways.
Roadrunner Records have confirmed that Dragonforce and ZP Theart have gone their seperate ways.
The full story reads:”Dragonforce have split with lead singer ZP Theart. The band issued the following statement regarding the matter:
“‘It is with great regret that Dragonforce announce a parting of the ways with singer ZP Theart. This is due to insurmountable differences of musical opinion but the rest of the band sincerely wishes ZP great success with his future projects.
“‘While the creative core members have begun writing the fifth album, they have also started a worldwide search for a new vocalist.’
“‘We are looking for a powerful, melodic singer to write a new chapter of Dragonforce with us,’ said guitarist Herman Li.
“Anyone wishing to audition for the vacant position should apply following the instructions right here.”
The band have cited “insurmountable differences of musical opinion” as the reason for Theart’s departure.

ZP is virtually impossible to find on the internet, barely anything on youtube, not even a wikipedia page!
But it’s a shame he left, hope they find another decent singer

in all fairness i always thought that is was ZP’s vocals that dragged dragonforce down, at least in my opinion,but good luck to him in the future and hopefully df will find a new vocalist soon

thank fuck he is such a tosser when me and my friend met him at mean fiddler years ago he stated that he didnt even like metal and sang for the money without him dragonforce are a better band

i liked him personally,better than some singers nowadays i think,i think dragonforce could do with some one more heavy and powerful tho,i was thinking some one in the style of ripper owens or joackim broden would be good

I’d say Chris Clancy would be perfect for the position, but I never want him to leave Mutiny Within.
i thought that his singing was decent enough on ultra beatdown but as many people before have said i think this is a good thing for dragonforce.

well i guess its one step towards souding good and getting some real talent in the band. all they need to do now is try making the songs sound different and they make have some respect again

This spoilt my day to hear, Dragonforce are one of the few bands that i can honestly say i have loved since i first heard them years ago, I hope they manage to get a singer who sounds a near match to ZP.

great news! i love their guitarwork, but the vocals were dreadful. if they get a good “metal” singer i might actually start listening to them.
U ppl are idiots, just caus ZP is leaving doesnt mean they are gonna change their genre, they will just hav a different vocalist with the same style, who knows, they might change a bit but theyre still power metal!
