Dry Kill Logic Speak About Last Weeks Events
“What happened on the 11th changed the world forever,” said frontman Cliff Rigano. “We sat in Dublin, watching the events unfold on CNN, and couldn’t believe what we were seeing. Our hearts go out to everyone who lost someone in this tragedy. I think what hurts the most is seeing this hit so close to home being from New York and a proud New Yorker (as well as someone who worked in the city for a few years), to think that the Towers, as well as thousands of innocent lives were taken the way they were is unthinkable at very least, crippling at worst.
“However, there is always positive to be found in negative, and to see the way people have come together in the city to help get through this is tremendous. The way people from across the country and across the world have donated their money, time, efforts and prayer show that there is a light at the end of the tunnel that humanity is not as far gone as one might sometimes think. To hear fireman and emergency workers cheered as they walk down the street, some arriving with food, others showing up to give blood, or just to help sweep up a street corner- that is being an American. That is the spirit of unity that bonds us all, one nation under God, indivisible, with unity and justice for all, remember? Lets bond together as a nation and strike at the heart of terrorism, but not blind fury in the name of swiftness. Our nation will be a different place because of this, but can also be a better place just the same.
“Our hearts and prayers go out to those that lost their lives, and to those that offer themselves unselfishly in this time of need.”
