Durst: “Come Back Wes, All Is Forgiven!”
“We are hoping Wes will come back and surprise us one day soon,” says Durst. “We really miss him and he was a big part of Limp Bizkit.”
Wes Borland quit the high profile rap rockers in October of last year due to ‘creative differences’ with Durst. Upon the split Boreland began work on his new solo project, Eat The Day, with producer Ross Robinson, whilst Bizkit kicked off their Put Your Guitar Where Your Mouth Is month long tour to find a suitable replacement.
Recent internet rumours suggested that Bizkit had employed the services of ex-Snot guitarist Mike Smith, and, as Metal Hammer.co.uk reported last week, the band were poised to enter the studio to record the follow up to their mega selling ‘Chocolate Starfish And the Hotdog Flavoured Water’ album. This is all now thrown into doubt as Durst makes a desperate attempt to patch thing up with Borland, and even goes as far as giving fan’s Borland’s home e-mail address to beg him to rejoin the band!
“If you want, e-mail Wes and tell him to come back to his family,” continues Durst. “His e-mail address is email@example.com, but I don’t know if it is still in use.”
Durst has also jested that he may fill the vacant guitar slot himself!
“I’ve been doing a lot of writing lately,” he says. “All kinds of styles. I’m playing guitar too. Scary!”
