A greatest hits compilation for the much-missed UK metal-combo is set for a July release and has got tongues wagging about a possible reunion this Summer.
earthtone9 are to make a greatest hits compilation available for free download from their website this July. ‘Inside, Embers Glow… A Collection Of earthone9’s Aural Communiques 1998-2002′ will feature the following tracks:

Well a little bit of investigating : A pal of mine had a short chat with Karl Middleton at the end of last year or the beginning of this year and he mentioned that they would be getting back together.
Plus, if you go to the Rock Midgets Website, you will find the following quote:
“”This is not a rebirth,” says bassist Dave Anderson. “We just got old and wise enough to appreciate that we did something pretty good together, and it was worth celebrating. We’re not reforming as such. More reconnecting as friends, and leaving ourselves open to the occasional show to remind people that we fucking ruled once.”
It appears we may certainly see Earthtone9 again. That last EP was incredible the harmonies on Amnesia and Revelations were just perfect and I seriously thought they were about to become huge.
And then they split up.
Although they did used to wear those Blue-bolt baggy flare-jeans that you used to get in Blue Banana. But besides that irrelevant detail – Awesome!
Evil crawling eye is the shit! i eas going to go and see them in plymouth back in 2002 and they canclled the show…then split up!
I will be downloading this when it is available and i urge everyone to do the same
and as for live shows,that would be awesome!

I love this band with a major passion, stunning live act, In fact I was at their last ever show at the garage back in 2002/2003 which i still remeber vivdily to this day
Earthtone 9 were a fucking awesome live band so it’ll be good to see them doing gigs again
