You heard us correctly, Fear Factory are back and there are UK dates confirmed!

Fear Factory have reformed and will play at this year’s Sonisphere and Bloodstock festivals.

Rumours had swilled that Burton C Bell and Dino Cazares would be working on a new project with bassist Byron Stroud (who played on the last 2 Fear Factory albums) and legendary Strapping Young Lad/Death/Testament drummer Gene Hoglan, but it transpires that this will be the line-up for a reformed Fear Factory!

HellHound

this has made my day, fucking ‘A’.

I couldn’t have picked a better replacement for Raymond Herrera, both him and Gene are shit hot drummers (Y)

fuck fear factory

Fuck you dean

i think i speak for everyone when i say… Fucking Metalgasm!!

not for me you dont

Then you fail at recognising metal.

I’m not coming down off the ceiling for ages! This is AWESOME news!

This has made my day, awesome news!

fear factory are a kool band, cyberwaste and linchpin are classics

Oooh eck, Linchpin? Really? That’s the Fear Factory era I try and ignore, when they went a bit nu metal on us. It’s all about those first three albums, and tunes off them like Demanufacture, Replica, H-K, Scumgrief, W.O.E., Shock, Hi-Tech Hate, Resurrection… I could go for ages

Saw this coming a mile off – they reformed a week ago, only they hadn’t decided on a name – Fear Factory makes sense as it contains 2 original members and 1 other former member in Byron Stroud. Still kicks ass, though can’t afford to go to either of the fests they’re playing as already booked Download tickets. Still, had the pleasure of seeing FF twice already and SYL (with Stroud and Hoglan) in their almighty set at Download 2006.

Here’s hoping for a full UK tour.

ViolentFluid

if this was the ‘big announcement’ then its a big fuckin let down

ViolentFluid I don’t like you :L

MJC_123

Amazing.
This is the best news I have heard all year…

devilstoy

God Dean go listen to your EMO wank!!!! You would’nt know it if metal kicked you in your tiny nuts!!!!

This is pretty kick arse, a mix of SYL and Fear Factory. Sounds pretty metaltastic to me :P

Ian McWilliams

Fear Factory Fuck Yeah. I hope they play Marley Park with Metallica.

I have tiny nuts but i like fear factory

@devilstoy. I started listening to metal in 1981 daft lad. I was weaned on Kreator, Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth, Death Angel.

Fear Factory are nobodies.

Hellvins

dean, you are fucking right! they are nobodies, fucking nobobies.

When I first read the headline I was pretty chuffed, I first saw them live back in either ‘91 or ‘92, can’t remember which. But after reading the interview I can’t say that I’m too interested now if Raymond and Chris aren’t involved in the line-up. Hoglan is a fuckin’ nuclear drummer and Byron is a good addition, a very clever move. I’m sure that the new Fear Factory will crush and the gigs will be awesome but if it’s not the “classic” Demanufacture band I’m going to struggle to get excited.

Dean – congrats on being an oldie…. and as much as i respect the bands you mentioned, Fear Factory are still one of the biggest and talented bands that have been around, they are like the legends for the new generation – stop living in the past and move on mate

I second Nekro (Y)
Yes every generation has it’s kickass bands who may proser enough to survive multiple generations, but you gotta move with the times ;)
